Community Outreach

New Life Community Church, as its name suggests, is interested in community. We are called a community church because firstly we are a community of believers who seek to share their lives together and secondly because we believe that God wants to use the church to serve the local community.

We want to ask our local community: "What do you think are the main needs of the area?" (Starting with the area immediately around where the church meets - Rainham - and working our way out in to all of the areas of the community where people live within traveling distance of the church meetings.) One way in which we are doing this is quite simply by knocking on people's doors and asking them what they believe the needs of the area are, and what they feel the church could do to meet those needs.

Our aim, as a church, is to spread the good news that Jesus has paid the price for all human kind so that we can be reconciled to God. In his ministry on earth Jesus met with people where they were at. To one blind man he asked the question, "What do you want me to do for you?" and that is what we want to do. As we receive people's answers about what they feel the needs of the area are, and what the church could do, the elders of the church will decide which needs the church is able meet at this present time. We will then begin to take steps to show the love of God through action.
